Meeting Yourself Where You Are
You are surviving a time most people couldn’t even imagine getting through and that is a BIG deal.
You’ve carried so much and kept going on days when giving up would have been easier. In reality you are stronger than you realize and stronger than you ever should’ve had to be. You are allowed to have days that progress looks like just getting through the moment. You do not need to pretend you are okay, be strong, productive or make sense out of everything all the time. Sometimes it is enough to wake up and meet the day right where you are, one step, one choice, one breath at a time. Simply being here, trying and continuing in your own way is enough.
You are not weak or being dramatic. Speaking about your struggles isn’t a sigh of weakness. Be confused, broken, frustrated, sad, or exactly where you are right now. You are worthy and enough just as you stand in this moment.
You don’t need to find the answers right away. If it is too heavy today, leave it until tomorrow or another time that is lighter. Answers can sometimes also appear as questions, do not be afraid to ask them
You're not failing when you slow down or do less. You’re succeeding at honoring your totally valid needs for rest, peace, and balance.
When life changes in a big way, it can be easy to feel untethered, tired, and unsure of how to keep going. Sometimes the things that once gave your life meaning no longer fit quite the same way. That in-between place can feel quiet, lonely, and uncertain, but it does not mean you have to carry it all at once, or that you need to solve everything today.
Some days will feel harder than others, and that is okay. You are carrying something hard. Hard days do not mean you are living a bad life. They simply mean you are going through something difficult. You can worry all you want, but worry will not change the outcome. So, for now, let this moment be enough. Breathe. Rest. And let yourself be here gently.
Rebuilding does not happen all at once. It comes in waves and learning how to move with those waves becomes part of finding your way forward. It means paying attention to what helps, making space for what feels steady, and giving yourself time to practice the things that work for you.
Your life still holds meaning, even in the storm. There is still so much waiting for you in the future, even if you cannot see it yet. It is okay to want more for yourself. It is okay to hope for a life that feels lighter, with more peace and more joy. Happiness can begin when you stop forcing life to look the way you thought it should and start noticing what is still good, still present, and still possible. You are enough just as you are, and your life is not defined by this moment alone.
